i don't like oprah
or people that try really hard to be a good person in general.
i don't like standardized tests
or at least the fact that they are really long and redundant.
i don't like being out in the cold
or at least waiting for score results that I really didn't want to hear after all.
i don't like how short the weekend feels.
or at least how it feels like my time was wasted.
i don't like people forcing school spirit.
or at least when it's obvious they're forcing it themselves.
i don't like people who yell at their friends
or at least when they do it mean-spiritedly.

i do like making new friends.
especially when they come from the most unexpected places.
i do like my new new ipod.
especially because I know I worked hard for it.
i do like sunday mornings.
especially when they seem like they could last forever.
i do like you, yes you.
especially when you seem to like me back.
and I like the things you say.

i try not to think about tomorrows
because i'm afraid i'll get sad,
and long for the past.
